Tunisia occupies a central place in the Mediterranean. Its littoral exceeds 1300 km and it has 41 fishing ports, more than 165 industrial units of transformation and conditioning of the fishing products with a medical approval during 2007.

A master line of the aquaculture was carried out in order to define a development strategy for the following sectors :
